November 8 Preliminary Docket

The preliminary docket for the November 8, 2018 Alexandria Planning Commission public hearing was published yesterday. This will be the commission’s second meeting in November; the first is on November 1.

The November 8 docket includes the following cases of note:

  • Development Special Use Permit and related approvals at 1604-1614 King Street and 1604 Dechantal Street for King Street Condos
  • Text amendment to the zoning ordinance defining a “life care facility”
  • Development Special Use Permit and related approvals at 2602 Main Line Boulevard for two elderly/life care facility buildings
  • Subdivision and Rezoning of 3050 Potomac Avenue and a portion of 3601 Jefferson Davis Highway for the American Physical Therapy Association

Staff reports for the November 1 hearing are anticipated to be published on Tuesday, October 23, and for the November 8 hearing on Tuesday, October 30, 9 days before each hearing.

The public hearings begin at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers of Alexandria City Hall, 301 King Street.

The Planning Commission will also hold its annual retreat on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from noon to 5:00 pm at Brandywine Senior Living, 550 Cardinal Place, Alexandria, VA 22304.
